Winter Wonderland

The only good thing about winter is the quilts!
I HATE everything else about it.
Since it's coming quickly, yes the gardens froze this week, I decided that it was time to get the Winter Wonderland quilt finished!
and yes, this is a new tutorial coming soon!
this tutorial will be featured over at Riley Blakes Cutting Corners soon!
Do you like what you see?
I'm really excited about this quilt!
Maybe it'll make me like winter this year.........

  6. I REALLY like what I see. I can hardly wait for the rest. BTW - I love winter. It is probably my favorite season except here in NC we don't get enough snow or ice.

  8. I am enjoying the cooler temps here, but no freeze yet. I still have things growing, so hoping that it stays warm enough to keep producing. I do enjoy quilting when it is cooler, but I hate when I have to close the windows.

  9. Gorgeous quilt Natalia:)

No winter for you?! I am from WI so I grew up in snow and COLDDDDDD! Now though since living in AZ and GA intermittently the cold doesn't agree with me too much anymore.

We are moving to NC around April so we won't be having snow there either. I would like a little snow for Ayden so he can experience it some more. (We had one day of snow here in GA last year--if you can believe it!)

  10. This quilt looks amazing. Can't wait to see the tutorial. You are so talented. The only thing i really care about winter is hot chocolate and days it snows and my work load is down so i can play.

  11. That is super cute. I love Christmas time and all the decorations and baking.
Sorry you don't enjoy winter; here in So. California it's pretty mild. And with the gloomy summer we've had, the winter just might be warmer here on the coast!

  13. I know I'm going to want to purchase the supplies for this quilt. Cute, cute fabric and I'm sure, based on other projects you've shown on your blog, it's a cute, cute quilt. I agree - the only good thing about winter is the quilts. (I live in Utah also - too much snow!)

  18. The snow has hardly left, and I'm right in the middle of making this quilt. It's sweet.

I found that I should have made my trees, the words, and mitts background 40" wide to match the bottom snowflake strip.

I'm fudging it now to get it to fit, but it's going to come out just sweet. Thanks
